Meet Jess.

I'm thrilled you're here.

Connection is our lifeblood to joy. Relationships, and what interrupts connection, have been a fascination to me throughout my life. I work with my clients collaboratively and what I can guarantee you'll get from me is equal parts compassion and honesty.

We don't always behave properly, either towards ourselves or others. That's both understandable and damaging to our relationships. It's crucial we're willing to see that in order to choose another option.

Maybe you've read the books and tried the courses. Maybe you've even tried marriage counseling before with frustratingly little to no results, at least that lasted. And that's where brain science comes into play. "Knowing what to do" on an intellectual level doesn't reach the root origins of the word which signify an embodied "felt sense". Simply teaching the skills of relationality won't cut it without addressing the part of you that won't use the skills. You know that gut feeling? This "felt knowing" can come into our awareness but we at times lack the ability to put it into words. This is where I come in to help.

My training as a licensed counselor and therapist, as well as my specialization in Relational Life Therapy provide the environment and structure to approach your couple dynamics with sensitivity and bravery. My work involves a relational depth that will move you past only learning skills and into a new experience of knowing yourself and your relational patterns.

In my "real life" I am a wife and mom to three kids. Raised in a military family in the suburbs of Washington D.C. My schooling and life opportunities have taken me across the U.S. and abroad. Early marriage was a struggle and I had to do my own honest and loving confrontation about our dynamics. I meet you today as a fellow traveler in recovery of damaging dynamics. I use my relational skills countless time every day to stay connected with the ones I love and grow a relationship that means everything to me. It is NOT always easy but it IS always worth it.

It is my utmost honor to be trusted in your journey to more knowing connection.

Yours truly,
Jessica Johnson
